About Paula M. Lau

When I first started out as a counselor, I was convinced that with a little patience, prayer, and a sprinkle of positivity, anyone’s troubles could turn around.

While I still believe in the power of those things, I’ve learned over the years that life’s challenges can be a bit more complicated than I once thought.

With 35 years of counseling under my belt and a lot of experience helping people navigate all sorts of hurdles, I’m here to lend a hand.

Wife, Mother, & Counselor

Inara the dog

For the past 15 years, I’ve been a crisis and referral counselor at a big public school in Oklahoma. My goal has always been to support the parent-child bond as much as possible, even when things get tough. I know parents are the experts on their kids, but even the best experts can hit a rough patch when things don’t go as planned. Connecting with others who’ve been there can be incredibly helpful during these times.

On a personal note, I’m proud to be the mom of three amazing sons. While they’ve grown up and are making their own decisions, I’m still here cheering them on—and my husband, Rick, is my biggest supporter. As for our family’s canine member, Inara, she’s currently the reigning granddog!

Great or small, every victory counts!

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Paula
